3, 2, 1... THE ROLLING STONES!

Last Wednesday was the day I had been waiting for many months, June 25 and... the concert of The Rolling Stones! I saw people queuing in front of the Fnac in Callao 24 hours before the tickets started to be sold, so I thought that some fans would start to camp several days before - even it's prohibited in Spain -. The first group to arrive at the gate 35 of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium started to camp on Sunday. Two days taking turns to be sure we were in first row, but I saw the end of the concert from the VIP area, where I think I was taken by mistake. The atmosphere was great ... a small family for two days.

El miércoles pasado llegó al fin el día que tantos meses llevaba esperando, el 25 de junio y... ¡el concierto de The Rolling Stones! Si vi a gente haciendo cola frente a la Fnac de Callao 24 horas antes de que salieran a la venta las entradas, esperaba que para el concierto algunos fans comenzasen a acampar varios días antes - aunque ahora esté prohibido en España -. El primer grupo en llegar ante la puerta 35 del Estadio Santiago Bernabéu comenzó a acampar desde el domingo. Dos días haciendo turnos nos aseguraron estar en primerísima fila, aunque el final del concierto lo vi desde la zona VIP, adonde creo que me llevaron por equivocación. El ambiente era ideal... una pequeña familia por dos días.

A six-thirty at the Bernabeu opened the doors and entered the mass. Over an hour later, Leiva went to "liven up" the wait. Choosing Leiva as the opening act for The Rolling Stones was criticized, as most of the persons who were there didn't use to listen to it, some of them didn´t know him and just a few saw it like a rockstar. He started with "Animales", from his old group called Pereza, and he devoted an issue to Rubén Pozo. He introduced himself as another fan of the Rolling Stones and he confessed that he had shared with his friends pirate music of the British group. At the end of his performance, he played "Hace calor" con Ariel Rot and Carlos Tarque.

A las seis y media abrieron las puertas del Bernabéu y entró la masa. Más de una hora después, salió Leiva a "amenizar" la espera. La elección de Leiva como telonero de The Rolling Stones fue muy criticada, pues la mayoría no solían escucharlo, algunos ni lo conocían y pocos lo veían como una rockstar. Comenzó con "Animales", de su antiguo grupo Pereza, y dedicó un tema a Rubén Pozo. Se presentó como otro fan más de los Rolling y confesó que había compartido con sus amigos música pirata del grupo británico. Al final de su actuación, tocó "Hace calor" junto a Ariel Rot y Carlos Tarque.

At 21:30, four awesome artists made the public become crazy with Jumping Jack Flash. The energetic movements of Mick Jagger and his multiple costume changes, the talent of Keith Richards and his moment of glory in You got the silver, the expressionless face of Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood eclipsing the audience with songs like You can not always get what you want. They made the Bernabeu rock for two unforgettable hours that we will always remember. I don't know if it's the last time to see them on stage - I hope it isn't - but it was the most amazing concert I've ever been at. Many people say that they must be retired, but it worth to see their incredible vitality - Leiva talked some time ago about that and he recommended them to leave the stage -.

A las nueve y media cuatro artistazos hicieron enloquecer al público con Jumping Jack Flash. Los enérgicos movimientos de Mick Jagger y sus múltiples cambios de vestuario, el talento de Keith Richards y su momento de gloria en You got the silver, el rostro inexpresivo de Charlie Watts y Ronnie Wood eclipsando al público con canciones como You can't always get what you want. Hicieron vibrar al Bernabéu durante dos inolvidables horas que recordaremos siempre. No sé si será la última vez que los vea sobre un escenario - espero que no -, pero sea como sea fue el concierto más impresionante que he visto nunca. Muchos dicen que "les quedan dos telediarios", pero esa vitalidad envidiable es digna de ver - en este tema se metió Leiva hace tiempo, cuando les recomendó jubilarse y dejar los escenarios -.
